Some of you lovely people quite often ask about our beauty/skin care routines. So, we are super excited to share our first beauty post with you! We were thrilled and (lets be honest) completely flattered when NARS got in contact to see if we would like to collaborate and try out some of their latest products.  Naturally, the answer was 100% yes! We were familiar with the brand through modelling jobs; NARS products often appear in make-up artist’s kits so we knew that they would be great, quality products.

We were given a selection of products to try out, including the Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Radiant Creamy Concealer, Satin Lip Pencils and their Compact Bronzing Power. In addition to being really really lovely make-up products, NARS stole our hearts with their beautifully designed packaging and iconic brand identity; arriving in matte black cardboard boxes, the minimal aesthetic continues throughout their entire product range, perfectly blending in and reflecting the true Halpin style.

As you have probably already figured out through our previous posts and social media we are pretty busy and always on the move. It is important for us to find a make-up brand we love and that suits our lifestyles. Neither of us like clogging up our skin with heavy foundation and we always opt for a more ‘natural’ look.

The NARS ‘Velvet Matte Skin Tint’ we were given to try is honestly a dream, we were so pleasantly surprised when we tried it out. It blends so smoothly onto your skin - even without a brush - so you don’t have to apply loads (which like we said is exactly what we look for in a foundation) and it leaves your face feeling so smooth and velvety. Because it is more of a tint than a thick foundation it gives a lovely natural look and you don’t end up looking flat, masked or chalky. It’s also mixed with Vitamins C, E and SPF 30 which we feel are great assets to any skin product!

To coincide with our busy lifestyles, we wanted to make sure the NARS products were easy to use when out and about. Ladies, as we’re sure many of you can relate, (trying) to apply make-up whilst on the move isn’t the easiest of tasks. It can be a real pain trying to re-apply make-up in-between castings and finding something that stays put and looking wonderful throughout a stressful day of university or rushing around town. So we put our NARS products to the test.

We each also had a NARS compact ‘Bronzing Powder’, which comes with a mirror and is the perfect size to keep in your handbag. A NARS ‘Radiant Creamy Concealer’ (always a much appreciated product) which has both blending and illuminating properties. And a couple of NARS ‘Satin Lip Pencils’. Wow. Probably the easiest lip colour to apply; it glides on and slightly stains the lips making it the perfect lip product to use on the move

So to conclude; it's pretty obvious we have developed quite a soft spot for NARS and their lovely products; not only because of their quality, beautiful design and how they look once their applied. But because of how easy they are to use on the go and are so long-lasting even on our busiest, rushiest days -  which pretty much seems to be everyday. So thank you NARS; we would definitely call ourselves self confessed #NARCISSISTS

And a very big THANK YOU to our lovely friend Dean Martindale for following us around and capturing us whilst we applied and talked about make-up all day.
